Thank you for selecting Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Lancaster to serve your medical and health needs. We will do all we can to provide you the very best of care. Most patients come to our practice through the referral of another physician or through a consultation if the patient is already hospitalized. The results of our evaluation and our recommendations will be conveyed to the appropriate referring specialist (such as a cardiologist, pulmonologist, or gastroenterologist) and to your family physician so they can discuss our recommendations with you.
If you undergo surgery, your family physician will be contacted at the time of surgery and again on discharge from the hospital with the information he or she will need to provide your continuing long-term care. Your referring specialist usually will already be involved in your care while you are hospitalized. If you have been referred from another community, relevant information will be provided to your physicians there as well.
